Practical tips
Editorial- Book Oktoberfest tent table reservations directly with individual tents, not a central site, and do it by spring since most 2025 tent bookings closed by April or May for a September festival.
- Budget 14.50 to 15.90 euros per liter Mass for Oktoberfest beer depending on tent and year, plus 1 to 2 euros tip per round if you want faster refills from your server.
- Skip the 18 to 20 euro Nymphenburg combination ticket if you only want the palace interior, the palace only ticket is 10 euros regular and 9 reduced.
- Use the MVV Single-Tageskarte day pass at 10.10 euros for Zone M if you are taking three or more rides in a day, since single tickets are 4.20 euros each as of January 2026.
- Do not buy a Deutschlandticket for a short trip, at 63 euros a month in 2026 it only pays off if you are staying roughly two weeks or longer and riding transit daily.
- Leave backpacks and any bag over three liters at your hotel before heading to Oktoberfest, they are banned at security checkpoints, and keep your phone and wallet zipped away in dense crowds at Marienplatz and the Hauptbahnhof.
