Location: our core promise

RuinMyTrip never shares your precise or real-time location. Travel plans are shown at destination and date-range level only, and only when you opt in. You choose per-plan visibility: public, followers, or private.

What we collect

Account details (username, email, date of birth for age verification), content you post, and basic usage data needed to run the service.

How we use it

To operate the community, show your content, power “who's going” discovery at the destination level, and keep the platform safe.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal data. We don't broadcast live location. We don't expose your exact address or coordinates.

Your controls

Edit or delete your content and plans, control who can see your travel dates, block users, and request account deletion at any time.

Asking us for something

A copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion of your account: ask through contact and choose "a privacy request". You can also delete your own content and account from your settings at any time without asking anybody.

Safety data

Reports and blocks are used by moderators to keep the community safe and may be retained for enforcement.
