Practical tips
Editorial- Buy a 24 hour ticket (11.20 euros, zones AB) if you're making more than three trips in a day, it now runs 24 hours from validation rather than expiring at midnight.
- The old 7 day VBB Umweltkarte was discontinued in January 2026, so price out day tickets against a Berlin WelcomeCard (from 28.50 euros for 48 hours) before assuming a weekly pass exists.
- Skip the DDR Museum's 14 euro adult ticket price shock by pairing it with the completely free Berlin Wall Memorial exhibitions on Bernauer Strasse, which cost nothing to enter.
- If you want a real shot at Berghain, go alone or in a pair, dress down, skip Saturday midnight for a quieter Sunday morning slot, and never touch the camera stickers they place on your phone at the door.
- Check any short term rental listing for a visible district registration number before booking, unregistered listings can be shut down or cancelled last minute under the Zweckentfremdungsverbot law.
