Practical tips
Editorial- The Warsaw Uprising Museum (Grzybowska 79) is closed every Tuesday and open 10:00-18:00 the rest of the week; admission is 35 zloty regular, 30 zloty discounted.
- Buy a 24 hour zone 1 transit pass for 15 zloty instead of stacking single fares, it pays for itself after about four rides.
- From Chopin Airport, skip the taxi touts and take the SKM train plus transit combined ticket for 22.40 zloty into the center, or catch bus 148, 175, or 188.
- Only use app based or clearly corporate branded taxis; unaffiliated drivers near the airport and main train stations are a known source of tourist overcharging.
- Metro line M2 is being extended westward with new stations opening in 2026, and Warszawa Gdanska station has been under maintenance since April 2026, so check current routes before relying on either.
