Share your experienceThe Copernicus Science Centre charges 48 zloty for a full-price exhibition ticket on weekdays and 50 zloty at weekends and on holidays, with reduced tickets at 34 and 36 zloty. Children under 2 enter free. It is the best science centre in central Europe and it is not close. Around 450 hands-on exhibits across several floors, a high-voltage theatre with a genuine Tesla coil, a robotics gallery, and a planetarium that is ticketed separately. The building sits on the Vistula embankment with a roof garden looking over the river, which makes it a rare Warsaw attraction that works as a half day out rather than a single stop.
What was great
Enormous, genuinely hands-on, and priced within reach at 48 zloty. The high-voltage theatre is a real crowd-stopper. The riverside setting and roof garden are a bonus most science centres cannot offer.
What nearly ruined the trip
It is aimed squarely at children and is loud and busy accordingly, particularly at weekends and during school holidays. Tickets are timed and sell out. The planetarium costs extra on top.
