Practical tips
Editorial- Book Sagrada Familia tickets ahead: a standard ticket with audio guide is 26 euros in 2026, tower access is 36 euros, and a centenary surcharge of 2 to 5 euros applies from June through December 2026.
- Park Guell now costs 18 euros for adults, an 80 percent jump from 10 euros at the start of 2026, and entry is capped at 1,400 visitors per hour on a timed ticket, so book online days in advance rather than trying to walk up.
- Budget for the tourist tax on top of your room rate: as of April 1, 2026 it is a combined 4.50 euro Catalan regional charge plus a 5 euro Barcelona surcharge per person per night for most hotels, more for five star properties and short term rentals, plus 10 percent VAT.
- Buy a T-Casual card, 10 rides for 13 euros in one zone in 2026, instead of paying per single ride if you will use the metro or bus more than a couple of times.
