Share your experienceCafe Savoy charges 535 CZK for the continental breakfast and opens Monday to Friday 08:00 to 22:00, Saturday and Sunday 09:00 to 22:00, and 09:00 to 22:00 on public holidays. The ceiling is the reason to come. It is a neo-Renaissance original from 1893, restored rather than replaced, and it is the finest room of its kind in Prague that you can sit in without buying a concert ticket. Breakfast is what the Savoy is known for, and it is served from opening. The bakery counter by the door sells the same pastries to take away, which is the cheap way to sample the kitchen if the sit-down price is more than you want to spend.

An 1893 neo-Renaissance ceiling, properly restored. Breakfast from 08:00 on weekdays, which in Prague is unusually early for a room of this quality. A bakery counter selling the same pastries to take out.
What nearly ruined the trip
Five hundred and thirty-five crowns for a continental breakfast is a Prague-expensive price. It is popular enough that weekend mornings mean queueing. Mala Strana puts it across the river from the Old Town.
