Share your experienceNoma charges 4,500 DKK for the menu, with a wine pairing at 2,000 DKK and a juice pairing at 1,500 DKK. It serves Wednesday to Saturday from 17:00 to 23:00 and is closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. That is roughly 600 euros a head with wine, which makes this one of the most expensive meals in Europe and the single largest line on most people's Copenhagen budget. What it buys is the restaurant that rewrote what Nordic food is, across three seasonal menus a year: ocean, vegetable and forest. Reservations open to a newsletter list rather than a booking page, in seasonal releases that go in minutes. If you are reading this hoping to eat next week, you will not be eating next week.
What was great
The most influential restaurant of the last twenty years, still cooking at that level. Three genuinely different menus across the year. Service that is warm rather than reverent, which at this price is rarer than the food.
What nearly ruined the trip
Four and a half thousand kroner before drinks, and the pairings add another two thousand. Booking is a newsletter lottery, not a reservation system. Closed three days a week. Refshaleoen is a taxi or a long cycle from the centre.
