The Musée Matisse charges 12 euros in 2026 on its own practical information page, while a four day pass to all Nice municipal museums is 15 euros.
The Musée Matisse in Nice charges 12 euros for a single adult ticket in 2026, according to the museum's own practical information page, but 15 euros buys four days of every municipal museum in the city.
One museum or all of them
The official page lists 12 euros for individual entry and 9 euros per person for groups of ten or more, with advance reservation required. The four day Pass Musées de Nice is 15 euros, or 10 euros per person for groups. Anyone planning to see a second municipal museum as well passes the break even point immediately, since two single tickets already cost 24 euros.
Who pays nothing
The museum lists free entry for visitors under 18, students, unemployed visitors, people receiving RSA, ASS or ASPA, disabled visitors, ICOM and ICOMOS members, journalists, teachers and museum guides. Residents of Nice and the neighbouring communes aged 18 and over also enter free with identification and proof of address.
A family visit and the closed day
Two adults with two teenagers pay 24 euros for this one museum, or 30 euros for two four day passes, because the teenagers are free either way. Opening hours are 10am to 5pm from 1 November to 31 March and 10am to 6pm from 1 April to 31 October. The museum closes on Tuesdays and on 1 January, Easter Sunday, 1 May and 25 December. The page publishes no senior rate and no separate online price.
