Edinburgh visitor levy 2026: 5 percent, first five nights, first in the UK
Edinburgh became the first UK city to charge a visitor levy on 24 July 2026: 5 percent on paid overnight accommodation for the first five consecutive nights. It applies to bookings made on or after 1 October 2025.
