The Palace Ticket at Schönbrunn costs 42 euros for an adult in 2026, according to the palace's own tickets and prices page, with children aged 6 to 18 at 30 euros. That covers the full route through the palace rooms.

Three tiers, three prices

The State Apartments ticket, the shorter route, is listed at 30 euros for adults and 20 euros for children. The Palace Ticket is 42 and 30. The Classic Pass, which bundles five attractions including the gardens, is 49 euros for adults and 36 for children. The gap between the shortest option and the widest one is 19 euros a head.

Fixed entry times and fake tickets

The palace states that admission is provided with fixed admission times and advises securing a time slot in advance by buying online. It also warns that genuine tickets are sold online exclusively at imperialtickets.com, a direct answer to resale sites charging a markup. The palace runs daily 8.30am to 5.30pm and last admission to individual attractions is 45 minutes before closing.

Worked example

Two adults and two children on the Palace Ticket pay 42 plus 42 plus 30 plus 30, which is 144 euros. The same family on the Classic Pass pays 49 plus 49 plus 36 plus 36, or 170 euros, so the upgrade costs 26 euros. A couple on the Palace Ticket pays 84 euros.

Still unclear: the page does not state a free age for infants, so families with a child under 6 should confirm before booking.
