Osaka Castle tickets 2026: 1,200 yen for the main tower

Adult entry to the Osaka Castle main tower is 1,200 yen in 2026, according to the castle's own visitor guide, where the fee table carries the date 1 April 2025.

The fee table

The same page lists 600 yen for high school and university students on production of proof, and free entry for middle school students and younger, again with proof of age. Osaka City residents aged 65 and over enter free with proof, as do holders of disability, welfare or atomic bomb survivor handbooks, with one carer also admitted free. The Mirairo ID app is accepted in place of a paper handbook.

Timing and booking

The tower opens from 9:00 to 18:00 with last admission at 17:30, and closes from 28 December to 1 January. The castle site points visitors to a reservation website where entry tickets can be bought in advance. The published fee is the same figure either way, so advance booking buys time rather than money in the cherry blossom weeks when the queue is longest.

What a family pays

Two adults with two children of primary or middle school age pay 2,400 yen in total, because the children are free. Swap one child for a high school student and the total becomes 3,000 yen. A couple on their own also pay 2,400 yen. What the page does not make clear is whether the April 2025 fee table is still the current one later in 2026, so check the date line above the prices before budgeting.
