Ash Wednesday falls on 10 February 2027, so Carnival weekend is 6 to 9 February, with the street blocos starting before it and the champions parade after.
- Blocos are free street parties with no ticket and no door. Which one, on which morning, and with whom, is the whole question.
- The Sambadrome parades are ticketed; the blocos are not.
