Vasa Museum tickets 2026: 240 kronor in summer, 195 in winter

An adult ticket to the Vasa Museum in Stockholm costs 240 Swedish kronor from May to September in 2026 and 195 kronor for the rest of the year, according to the museum's own hours and admission page. That seasonal split is the most useful thing to know about the price, because the same warship costs 45 kronor more in the months when almost everyone goes.

Children go free

Visitors aged 18 and under are admitted free in both seasons, which makes the Vasa unusually cheap for a family by central Stockholm standards. The page notes that children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No separate student or senior rate is published there.

Hours and payment

From September to May the museum opens 10:00 to 17:00 daily, with Wednesdays running until 20:00. In June, July and August it opens much earlier and longer, 08:30 to 18:00. The museum also states that it accepts card payment only, so arriving with a pocket of kronor in cash is a wasted errand.

A worked example

Two adults and two children aged 9 and 14 pay 480 kronor in high season and 390 kronor in low season, since both children enter free either way. A couple who visit in October rather than July save 90 kronor between them for the identical exhibition and the identical ship.

What the page does not state is whether the summer rate runs by calendar month or by a published set of dates, which matters if you are booking at the edges of May or September.
