Santorini cruise fee 2026: 20 euros per passenger from June to September

Greek law sets a cruise disembarkation fee of 20 euros per passenger at Santorini and Mykonos from 1 June to 30 September in 2026, falling to 12 euros either side and 4 euros in winter.

Stepping off a cruise ship at Santorini costs 20 euros per passenger between 1 June and 30 September in 2026. Article 27 of Law 5162 of 2024, printed in the Government Gazette issue of 5 December 2024, sets the cruise fee for disembarkation at ports of the islands of Mykonos and Santorini at twenty euros for that period.

The rest of the year

The same article sets 12 euros for Santorini and Mykonos from 1 to 31 October and from 1 April to 31 May, and 4 euros from 1 November to 31 March. Every other Greek port charges 5 euros, 3 euros and 1 euro across those same three periods. The fee falls on the passenger, applies per port, and carries no VAT.

If you sleep on the island

Hotel guests pay something different. Article 24 of the same law sets the climate crisis resilience fee per room per day from April to October at 2 euros for one and two star hotels, 5 euros for three star, 10 euros for four star and 15 euros for five star. From November to March those drop to 0,50, 1,50, 3 and 4 euros.

What a visit costs

Two cruise passengers landing in July pay 40 euros between them. A couple spending four July nights in a four star hotel pay 40 euros of resilience fee on the room. The Greek tax authority's own guidance page refused every request we made, so we could not cross check the law text against it.
