Ho Chi Minh City 2026: 25 US dollars for a single entry Vietnam electronic visa
by RuinMyTrip Editorial · 2d ago
Circular 28 of 2026 from the Ministry of Finance prices Vietnam's electronic visa at 25 US dollars for single entry and 50 for multiple entry, effective 1 April 2026.
Vietnam charges 25 US dollars for a single entry electronic visa, the document most visitors to Ho Chi Minh City arrive on, under circular 28 of 2026 from the Ministry of Finance, which the government news portal reports took effect on 1 April 2026.
The fee schedule
The circular prices a single entry electronic visa at 25 dollars and a multiple entry electronic visa at 50 dollars where the validity runs up to 90 days. Longer multiple entry categories climb from there, reaching 165 dollars for the band covering five to ten years. The fee is set nationally by the finance ministry, so it does not vary by which airport you land at.
What a trip costs in 2026
Two travellers flying into Ho Chi Minh City on single entry electronic visas pay 50 dollars between them before anything else in the budget. A couple planning a side trip to Cambodia and a return need the multiple entry version, which doubles the pair to 100 dollars. Against a week of accommodation the visa is small, but it is charged per person and paid before departure.
What is still unclear
The fee is national and no separate Ho Chi Minh City accommodation levy appears in the official schedule, so a city tax of the European kind is not something we could find published for the city.
