Grand Palace Bangkok tickets 2026: 500 baht

The Grand Palace costs 500 baht in 2026 and the ticket desk shuts an hour before the gates, at 3:30 pm, according to the palace's own visitor page.

Entry to the Grand Palace in Bangkok costs 500 baht in 2026, according to the palace's own English visitor page.

One price, one selling window

The page states that tickets are sold from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and cost 500 baht, while the site is open daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. That gap of one hour is the most common way people lose a visit: arriving at four means the gates are still open but the ticket desk is not. The same page says the ticket also covers access to Wat Phra Kaew, the temple inside the palace walls.

What is not published

The official page gives a single adult figure and nothing else. It does not publish a child rate, a student rate or a senior rate, and it does not offer a cheaper online ticket, so any discounted Grand Palace ticket sold elsewhere is a package with a tour attached rather than the gate price.

Worked example

Two adults pay 1,000 baht. A family of four budgeted at the published rate pays 2,000 baht, and there is no published family ticket to bring that down. That makes the palace the single largest fixed cost in most Bangkok sightseeing days, well above a full day of taxis and food.

Still unclear: whether young children pay at all, since the official page does not mention a child price in either direction.
