A full price ticket to the Galleria Borghese in Rome costs 18 euros in 2026, and that figure already includes the compulsory booking fee. According to the official ticket page run by Gebart, the operator that handles admissions for the gallery, the breakdown is 16 euros for entry plus 2 euros as a reservation charge, listed on the page as Intero 18,00 euro.

Reduced and free tickets still cost something

Citizens of the European Union aged 18 to 25 pay a reduced rate the page shows as 2 euros, which is the booking fee alone with no admission charge attached. Visitors under 18 are admitted free, but the same 2 euro reservation charge applies, so a free child ticket is not actually zero. The page lists exemptions from the fee for disabled visitors and their companions, licensed European Union tour guides and accredited journalists. There is also a late entry at 17.45 priced at 13 euros.

The booking rule that costs people money

Advance purchase is mandatory. The gallery runs timed entry in two hour visits with a cap of roughly 180 people per slot, and slots run from 09:00 to 19:00. Turning up on spec is not an option here in the way it is at some Roman sites, and weekend slots go early.

What a family of four pays

Two adults and two children under 18 come to 36 euros for the adults plus 4 euros in booking fees for the children, so 40 euros for one two hour slot. A couple alone pays 36 euros.
