Dubrovnik tourist tax 2026: 2.65 euros per person per night in season

Dubrovnik charges a tourist tax of 2.65 euros per person per night between 1 April and 30 September 2026, and 1.85 euros per person per night for the rest of the year, under the decision on the amount of the tourist tax adopted by the county assembly.

How the county sets it

The decision covers every town and municipality in the county in one table, and Dubrovnik carries the highest nightly rate of any of them. Campsites in the city area are cheaper, at 1.95 euros in season and 1.30 euros outside it. Owners of holiday homes pay an annual lump sum instead, at 33 euros for the first family member, 33 euros for the second and 13 euros for each further one.

What a stay costs in 2026

Two adults spending five nights in a Dubrovnik hotel in July owe 26.50 euros in tourist tax on top of the room. The same stay in November costs 18.50 euros. A week in August for a family of four comes to 74.20 euros if everyone is charged the adult rate. It is collected by the property and usually appears on the final bill rather than in the booking price.

What is still unclear

The county decision lists amounts and not exemptions, so any reduction for children comes from the national law on the tourist tax rather than from this document.
