Budapest Zoo tickets 2026: 5,900 forint for an adult

Budapest Zoo charges 5,900 forint for an adult and 4,200 for a child, student or senior in 2026, and a family ticket for two adults and two children is 17,500.

An adult ticket to Budapest Zoo costs 5,900 forint in 2026, according to the zoo's own price page.

The published table

The zoo lists 5,900 forint for an adult, 4,200 for a child aged 2 to 18, 4,200 for a student with an ISIC card and 4,200 for a visitor aged 65 and over with valid identification. Babies under 2 pay 400 forint. A supporter ticket, which is voluntary, is 9,200. Groups of at least 15 people pay 5,400 an adult and 3,900 for children, students and seniors.

Family tickets and what the ticket covers

Family combinations are priced separately: one adult with one child is 9,100 forint and two adults with two children is 17,500. The page also states that the ticket is valid for the Magic Mountain, the Palm House, the Aquarium and the Biodome, so those are included rather than sold as paid extras once you are inside.

Worked example

Two adults and two children buying single tickets pay 20,200 forint. The same four people on the two adult two child family ticket pay 17,500, a saving of 2,700 forint. The family ticket is the default for anyone travelling with children and it is easy to miss at the window, where the single rates are what get quoted first.

Still unclear: the price page does not say whether a ticket bought online costs less than one bought at the cashier.
