Zoo Zurich tickets 2026: 32 francs for an adult
by RuinMyTrip Editorial · 2d ago
Adult entry is CHF 32 in 2026, children 6 to 12 pay CHF 18, and the student and senior discount is available only at the box office.
Adult admission to Zoo Zurich costs 32 Swiss francs in 2026, according to the zoo's own tickets page, and the online price is valid only for the date you choose. It is the most visited paid attraction in the city.
What each age pays
The zoo lists adults aged 18 and over at CHF 32, young people aged 13 to 17 at CHF 27 and children aged 6 to 12 at CHF 18. Children under 6 enter free. A family day pass covering two adults with their own children aged 6 to 17 is CHF 85.
The discount you cannot get online
Students and visitors aged 64 and over receive 10 percent off single admission from Monday to Friday with valid identification, but the zoo states this applies at the box office only. Buying online at home therefore costs an older couple more than queueing at the gate on a weekday. Children up to 12 also enter free on their birthday on presentation of valid identification.
Worked example
Two adults and two children aged 6 to 12 pay 32 plus 32 plus 18 plus 18, which is 100 francs, so the 85 franc family day pass saves 15. A couple aged over 64 buying at the counter on a Tuesday pays about 57.60 rather than 64.
Still unclear: the tickets page does not publish daily opening hours, so arrival times have to be taken from the separate visit pages.
