Casablanca charges a taxe de sejour of 25 dirhams per person per night in a five star hotel and 10 dirhams in a four star hotel, according to the tariff list published by the commune of Casablanca on its official city site.

What the commune publishes

The same list sets 7 dirhams for three star hotels and 5 dirhams for two star and one star hotels. Guest houses, congress venues and hotels in the special class are the dearest at 30 dirhams. Private clubs are 25 dirhams, tourist stations 7 dirhams, summer resorts 5 dirhams, and pensions, inns and holiday rentals 4 dirhams. The charge is per person and per night, so it scales with the size of the group rather than with the room.

What a stay costs in 2026

Two people spending four nights in a four star hotel owe 10 dirhams each per night, which is 80 dirhams for the stay. The same pair in a five star hotel owe 200 dirhams across four nights. In a pension the figure falls to 32 dirhams. The hotel collects it and pays the commune every quarter, before the end of the first month following each quarter, so it reaches you as a line on the bill rather than a separate payment.
