Frida Kahlo Museum tickets 2026: 320 pesos general admission

The Frida Kahlo Museum, the Casa Azul in Coyoacan, charges 320 pesos for general admission in 2026, according to the museum's own visit page. Mexican residents with official identification pay 160 pesos. Students and teachers with a valid credential pay 60 pesos, as do guides and tour operators with official identification. Adults over 65 and children aged 6 to 12 pay 30 pesos. People with disabilities and children under 6 enter free.

There is no box office

The visit page states plainly that the museum does not sell at the ticket window. Every ticket has to be bought in advance online, which means turning up in Coyoacan without a booking is a wasted trip rather than a queue. This is the single most expensive mistake at this museum, because the house is small and demand routinely exceeds the slots released.

Closure dates to avoid

The museum lists full closures on 1 May, 16 September, 8 December, 25 December and 1 January 2027. It also runs shortened hours of 10:00 to 14:00 on 15 September and on 24 and 31 December. Those short days cut the number of entry slots, so they sell out earlier than an ordinary day.

What a family pays

Two foreign adults with children aged 8 and 10 pay 320 plus 320 plus 30 plus 30, which is 700 pesos. Two Mexican resident adults with the same children pay 380 pesos. A student couple with credentials pay 120 pesos, less than a third of one general ticket.

The museum's page does not describe how far ahead tickets are released or how entry times are allocated, so the practical booking window is not knowable from the official page.
